While certain healthy food items can definitely have an impact on your health but most of the people are not aware of the fact that taste of the food items can also impact your health. In order to understand this concept, you would have to look at the principles of Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, there are 3 body types, which are:
Depending on your body type, you can benefit from the certain type of food tastes. According to Ayurveda, the body of a person is made from 5 different elements which are space, earth, water, fire and air. Depending on the type of element which is more dominant, the body type would be decided and accordingly you should lead your life.

Kapha stands for water dominated persons. These persons often suffer from symptoms of flu like a fin Corp. This body type benefits the most by eating foodstuffs which are bitter or pungent in taste. Some of the examples of such foodstuffs are:
• Citrus foods
• Bitter gourd
These are fire dominated persons. They have excellent metabolic activity as well as digestive system. This would consume foodstuffs which are sweet in taste as that would help them increase the power of their digestive system even more. However, they need to consume sweet foodstuffs up to a limit. They need to also consume foodstuffs which would calm them down. Some of the foodstuffs which they should consume are:
• Yellow split beans
• Green beans
This body type is air dominated. The persons who have this particular body type need to avoid bitter tasting food items. If they consume food items having a bitter or pungent taste they would often suffer from problems like gas. Also, this would cause digestive problems for a Vata person. This body type would certainly benefit from food items like:
• Green grapes
• fermented items
Also, such a person should always avoid spicy foodstuffs as well.
